catena promotes Thompson to Principal and hires two engineers

catena is pleased to announce that Jason M. Thompson was promoted to Principal. The first new Principal since the firm was founded in 2005, Jason’s project management and business development achievements contribute to the firm and will help position the catena for future growth.  Catena’s Managing Principal, Chris Thompson, said “catena is all about connections – forming the strongest connections with our trusted clients and partners by providing creative structural solutions and unparalleled service. Jason embodies the values and culture of catena, and, adding him to the leadership team is natural to the growth and progression of the firm.” Thompson is currently working on OSU Johnson Hall, Oregon State Capitol Renovation, Kenton Apartments, East Burnside Mixed Use, Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Doernbecher Children’s Hospital iMRI Addition, NW Community Credit Union Headquarters, Overlook Apartments and Eugene School District 4J Jefferson Middle School Re-Build.

Timothy A. Sapienza joined the firm as an Engineer. Tim is a graduate of University of Massachusetts, having received a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering and a Master of Science in Structural Engineering and Mechanics. Tim is currently working on the Oregon State University Tebeau Hall, University of Oregon Straub Hall, NW Community Credit Union Headquarters, and Kenton Apartments.

Shawn J. Evilsizor joined the firm as an Engineer. Shawn received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and his Master of Science in Structural and Earthquake Engineering from University at Buffalo, The State University of New York.  Shawn is currently working on the Oregon State University Johnson Hall, Pacific University Lincoln Field Canopy, Oregon State Capitol Renovation and OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital iMRI Addition.
