Columbia Boulevard Wastewater Treatment Plant Engineering Building is Move-in Ready

by Paige Viehouser

Construction of the 11,500-square foot office support building designed for the City of Portland Bureau of Environmental Services is complete and ready for employees to move in. Located on a 147-acre environmentally sensitive site, the building and the site design include numerous sustainable features including a green roof, natural ventilation, bioswales and clerestory windows for natural daylighting. Designed to meet the LEED Gold certification, the unique folded concrete rooftop design provides clerestory windows on the upward tilt and allows for the landscaped roof runoff on the downward fold. The project recently received a 2013 AIA Portland Merit Award. Congratulations to the team!
