Clatsop Community College Patriot Hall

Located adjacent to a new entryway onto campus, Patriot Hall provides a new three-story, 36,400-square-foot student health center. The building, featuring exposed structural steel throughout, houses instructional space for paramedic and addiction treatment personnel training, fitness facilities, an elevated indoor running track, and support space for local Veterans. Replacing the old Patriot Hall, which had sentimental value to the community, the new building is constructed with structural steel with composite metal deck and concrete fill. The longspan roof trusses support a suspended indoor running track providing views of the city and river. In celebration of our veterans, a component of the hall was preserved with the integration of an exterior wall into the new structure. Patriot Hall earned an Energy Trust of Oregon High Performance Building Award and a DJC Oregon 2018 Top Projects Award. Built within a historic landslide zone, this $14.7 million project was completed in 2017.
