Oregon Health & Science University Center for Radiochemistry Research is a 9,000-square-foot, two-story addition built to house and shield sensitive equipment for radiopharmaceutical development and production and for PET imaging. Completed in 2016 with $9.5 million in construction costs, the structure consists of composite structural steel and concrete shear walls. The project required a partial building demolition in order to accommodate new construction while remaining in use. A retrofit solution was needed to allow for continual building use during construction.
