The Nick Fish Building is a two-building development in the Gateway Urban Renewal Area sited next to Gateway Discovery Park. It provides a mixture of affordable housing, headquarters office space for Human Solutions’ wrap around solutions for houseless and low income families, and ground-floor retail reserved for local small businesses and businesses of color. The two buildings consist of a six-story, 75-unit, residential building and a two-story office and mixed-use building. The office building is a combination of exposed heavy timber construction supported by a concrete podium. The residential building is a combination of light wood framing supported by a concrete podium. The 98,000-square-foot, $20.5M development achieved LEED Multi-Family Midrise Gold certification in 2021 and added 52 affordable housing units.
