As the first major science lab expansion at the University of Oregon, this 103,000-square-foot, four-story cast-in-place concrete building increased learning labs, wet labs and nanotechnology in the basement. The project marked the inception of future expansive science endeavors at the university. Using reinforced concrete construction, the building was completed in 2011 with $75 million in construction costs and a LEED Platinum Certification.
