As the structural engineering consultant, worked closely with Opsis Architecture to design a 10,000-sf addition to this existing aquatic center. The addition was tightly nestled between the existing buildings and included the renovation of approximately 8,000-sf to the fitness center. Catena was able to strategically locate the new outdoor pool and tent structure footings so as to avoid costly underpinning of the existing buildings. The construction cost of the project was $6.1 million and was completed in 2006. While with another firm, John McDonald served as Principal-in-Charge.
